Recitation of the Rosary will be prayed in the funeral home on Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. with the Rosary Group.A native and resident of Jeanerette, Phyllis died on Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 8:32 p.m. at her residence. Her greatest joy in life was the time she spent with her family and friends. She also was an avid reader and enjoyed time spent gardening.She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Van Mestayer of Jeanerette; mother, Lorena Hebert Verret of Jeanerette; daughter, Andrea Mestayer Sibille and her husband Keith, Jr. of Geismar; son, Daniel Mestayer and fiancée Toni Darden of Charenton; grandson, Alex Sibille of Geismar; granddaughter, Elyse Sibille of Geismar; brothers, William “Billy” Verret and his wife Linda of Sunset and Dean Verret of Jeanerette; sister, Sally Labruzzo of Broussard.She was preceded in death by her father, William Verrett.You may sign the guest register book and/or send condolences at www.davidfuneralhome.orgDavid Funeral Home of Jeanerette is in charge of arrangements.
